I happen to live around the corner from an amazing beer store in Brooklyn called American Beer. There's a corner in the back where they sell growlers of whatever the guys at SixPoint have been cooking up lately. Show up at a party with 64 ounces of fresh Brownstone Ale and you'll have no problem making new friends. I'm not sure how long beer stores in NYC have been doing this but it is a great way to drink beer and I hope to see more of it.

I recently noticed that a bar in my hood was also selling growlers and apparently this is becoming a bit of a trend: see BYOG. That's my kind of doggy bag!
