Hoppy beers & the Red Sox have been passions of mine since in moved to Boston in 1992.  So when I saw Wachusett Brewing Company's Green Monsta Ale - described as a BIG pale ale - I had to get a six pack.

Its copper colored, nice thick head that lasted the whole glass.  The aroma is earthy, a little spicey - which makes sense given the combination of Fuggles and East Kent Golding hops.  Its a nice change of pace from the big floral Cascade nose that you typically get with American pale ales.

Those hops come kick-in with full force from the first taste - this is a bitter beer with strong hop flavor.  The Belgian malts don't distract from the hops at all, but provide a little balance to those hop flavors.

Overall, an outstanding pale ale, I'll be drinking this more come baseball season.
